Am I eligible for this software purchase agreement?
Any student taking a CSI course or any faculty member teaching a CSI course is eligible.
What titles can I get through the CSI MSDN agreement?
A list of all the software that can be obtained through MSDN and Clark 206 can be found here.
Why do I have to pay anything?
Because much like buying books, computer science students must buy the proper software for their education.
Do I have to remove the software after I stop taking CSI classes?
No. After you pay for the software, you officially own your copy, and are free to use it for as long as you like.
Is Microsoft Office included in this plan?
No. Unfortunately Microsoft Office is not included in either the MSDN or McKendree computer lab libraries. If you want Office, you will have to purchase it from either a retail store, or through Microsoft's web page. You may also want to consider Open Office.
Open Office is an open source product that is available for free download and provides a fully functional office suite.
I am unable to buy software from MSDN, how much does it cost to buy software from McKendree's computer lab?
Generally, the price will vary, but on average one should expect to pay $8 per CD. For example, if one was to request a copy of the .NET Environment- a 3 CD set, s/he would be charged $24 for the entire set.
I won't be available to pick up my software from McKendree in person. Can you ship my software to me?
Yes. If schedules should conflict, it is always possible to ship the sets together. The software will be shipped
using USPS and a tracking number to insure the software arrives. Shipping will be a flat $5 added to the total of your
purchase. We will allow for combined shipping on multiple orders. We will accept only money orders which can be found at
any United States Postal Office. Please send an emial to csi.mck.msdn@gmail.com with the subject "Shipping" and we will get back to you with more details.
I either never got or I forgot my password. Help!
Just go to MSDN's McKendree page then click on Login. From there click on the link under ‘I've forgotten my password!’ Enter your McKendree email address as your username, and your password will be resent to your McKendree email address.
