at McK? Jeff Jones, a student at McKendree, was surfing through an open
share folder over the iTunes network at McKendree West when he came
across a file of what he thought could be objectionable material. "I
certainly had suspicions because the file name was quite graphic and
included a supposed age." The file was allegedly an advertisement
for "Girls Under 13" something that would otherwise be known as
"kiddy porn." (more...) So You Think YOU Can Write... It all began with a trip to the dentist's office... Dr. Gerald
Duff's writing career, that is. While you might know Dr. Duff as the
Provost and Dean of the College and as an English professor, I'm
guessing some of you aren't aware that we have our very own Mark
Twain right here at McKendree College.
(more...) McK Debate Team Receives Invite to Exclusive Tournament McKendree College's Parliamentary debate team has been on fire
for the 2007 season, with an impressive three teams in the top 100
competitors list and a slew of overall debate sweepstakes awards
hard won by the entire team at several tournaments. The team
finished out its regular season ranked sixth in the nation, only
three tournament points behind regional rival Washburn University

Life was going great at McKendree. That was, until a Review
reporter sent out an innocent survey and inadvertently exposed the
biggest wedge issue on campus. More divisive than Jesus, Iraq and
Confucius combined is the issue of funding, specifically the
allocation of funding between athletics and academics.
